Intarsia is often also known as picture knitting. It is a technique that allows you to knit a number of different colours in blocks over one row. It can be used to work anything from simple geometric shapes to very complicated floral pictures.
This class will introduce you to the basics of knitting intarsia. You will learn to make a centre pull butterfly, to work with several colours in one row and to follow a basic chart.

To take part in this workshop, please make sure you can knit and purl confidently.

What to bring
+ At least 3 different colours of yarn all in the same weight yarn.
+ Knitting Needles to suit your yarn weight
+ Magnetic Board for reading charts, if you have one

Each workshop will be 2 hours long and have space for 10 attendees as well as the instructor and shop owner. An email will be sent out several days before with instructions on where to park and how to find us.
